Where wine-food pairings are leading in the fine dining scene, we had a little voice in the back of our heads to come up with, for Dutch standards, something totally out of the box. In 2018 le moment suprême was finally there: Adriaan Verkerk and Two Chefs Brewing joined forces. Despite the idea was born in 2014, the innovative food and beer pairing concept Bar Alt – the men behind the brand support the Alt beer style, hence the name - was raised in 2018. A concept inspired by the latest evolutions in the European beer bubble, and the gastronomy worldwide. At Bar Alt we think beer is more than ready for a leading role. Beer is rarely just a beer. Our goal: taking food pairing with craft beers from the world's best brewers to the next gastronomic level. So, forget everything you know about beer-food, and have a seat.

Together with his very talented team, Thomas Kooijman – top 10 most promising Dutch chefs of 2019, according to Gault Millau – cooks seasonal chef’s menus. Menus with triggering beer-food combinations, both for your taste buds and other senses. The beers are always in the lead by creating the treats. Nevertheless, the dishes are put together in such a way that they also match well with our wide selection of natural wines.

At Bar Alt we serve 4, 6 or 8 course chef’s menus, which can change on a daily base. Thinking in boxes is a no go for us. That’s why each creation could contain elements from the Asion Fusion cuisine to the traditional French cuisine. In addition, each dish has its own beer pairing. The beers are carefully sampled and selected by the beer enthusiasts of Brewery Two Chefs Brewing. The wide selection of natural wines is compiled by our team.

* From Tuesday till Thursday we serve our 4 course chef’s. On Fridays and Saturdays we prefer extra-long dinners. Therefore, we only serve the 6 and 8 course chef’s menu.
